HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR BODY MASS INDEX OR BMI
BMI is your weight (in kilo grams) over your height squared (in centimeters). Let’s calculate.
Formula and Calculation: BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height2 (m2)
Example: Suppose height of 180 cm and weight of 75 kg. we divide our height figure by 100. This gives us 1.8m.
BMI = weight (kg) ÷ height2 (m2)
BMI = 75 ÷ (1.8 ×1.8)
BMI= 75 ÷ 3.24
BMI = 23.15%
